Lenny Bruce was, for 25 years, the most controversial comedian in America. He, virtually singlehandedly, invented alternative comedy. He was imprisoned on several occasions for speaking his own mind. Lenny was found dead, aged 40, with a hypodermic needle dangling from his arm. Lenny Bruce stole the show.
